Ekta Srinivasa, PhD, RN
Ekta Srinivasa is an avid proponent of reducing workplace violence initiatives, precisely solutions that arise from the experiences of those who have been subjected to or are bystanders to various forms of mistreatment in the workplace. Over the last decade, Ms. Srinivasa has conceived or participated in multiple initiatives to reduce workplace bullying in the healthcare sector. She obtained her Nursing Ph.D. in Health Policy and Population Health at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. She is the Founder of Improving Healthcare Culture, Inc. This nonprofit organization is established to provide resources to individuals and organizations seeking strategies to mitigate the effects of workplace violence. This organization received funding from the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Office of Health and Human Services to mitigate workplace bullying and improve the psychological safety of healthcare employees. This project aims to improve the retention and recruitment of healthcare workers in the Commonwealth. Ms. Srinivasa serves as a voluntary board member in several Committees and Commissions, including the Massachusetts American Nurses Association, the National Workplace Bullying Coalition Advisory, the National Commission to Address Racism in Nursing, and the Massachusetts Asian American and Pacific Islanders Commission.
